由国家艺术基金传播推广资助项目、中央美术学院主办的《周面复始--综合材料绘画学术邀请展》即将结集出版《周而复始-综合材料绘画学术邀请展文献集》,国际生态环保艺术家王馨曼受邀入选此项目和文献集。王馨曼入选作品名称《百年征途》,综合材料,尺寸120cm * 180cm,创作时间2019年。

自2019年中旬 至2021年 《周而复始-综合材料绘画学术邀请展文献集》部分入选作品曾在吉林艺术学院美术馆举、上海马利美术馆、上海视觉艺术学院美术馆,重庆美术馆、深圳大学美术馆、辽河美术馆、济南美术馆、西安美术学院美术馆等数地的巡回展出,于2021 年 4 月 9 日-4 月 30 日在中央美术学院美术馆进行此项目第九站的巡回展出。并于2021年4月23日下午举行结项仪式及“中国综合材料经再语言主体性精神”的学术研讨会。此项目学术主持为中央美术学院院长、中国美术家协会主席范迪安,项目文献集由该项目负责人吴守峰、策展人萧煌编著。
“周而复始”是中央美院张元教授主持的材料工作室的展览品牌,在本次国家艺术基金中报之前,就已经在全国各地进行了将近十几站的教学成果汇报本次展在此基础上申报国家艺术基金项目,通过六地巡展,综合展示了综合材料绘画目前在国内的发展水平,通过对《周而复始-综合材料绘画学术邀请展文献集》综合材料绘画发展的系统性校理,为中国当代艺术的多维发展提供路径分析。- 项目负责人吴守峰介绍
王馨曼创作的综合材料作品《百年征途》,通过1949年-2019年的近70张中国老报纸为主要创作材料,呈现了70年以来党团结人民共同走过的砥砺奋进历史,彰显了中国人民创造历史伟业、迈向中华民族伟大复兴而走过的辉煌征途。
国际生态环保艺术家王馨曼长年专注于保护生物多样性主题的艺术作品,她善于采用回收的旧物材料创作:报纸、塑料袋、饮料瓶、易拉罐、铁丝、不同材质的线、纸箱、杂志、塑料玩具和日常生活用品等材料创作综合材料绘画作品与装置艺术作品。王馨曼作品表达了人类与时间、空间、地域的交集与碰撞。保护生物多样性系列作品呈现了对动物失去栖息地后体内充斥着人类过度消费所丢弃的废弃物的批判;隐喻对地球生物痛苦挣扎和煎熬的生命过程是由人类行为叠加造成的反思。
王馨曼具有设计、艺术、生态环保艺术、人类学、管理学背景,获得博士学位,国内外多所大学客座教授,热衷于公益事业,通过艺术宣传保护地球濒危物种。现在负责联合国教科文组织IMAJ全球艺术大赛项目负责人、执行主任,任职于云南大学、云南省美术家协会综合材料艺术委员会副主任。她结合对人类破坏行为的探索与反思,通过艺术引发大众对遭受人类欲望和过度物质消费而严重受损的大自然的反思,倡导大众参与保护自然,和谐发展。
王馨曼2017年获得25座博物馆联盟评选的美国艺术家奖;2019年作品入选国家艺术基金推广项目;2020年获得联合国教科文组织的保护地球荣誉奖;2021年受聘欧洲联盟资助项目云南低碳学校试点项目指导专家;2022年荣登美国华人杂志封面人物;2022年荣获第八届国际玛丽安.勃兰特艺术大赛提名奖。王馨曼的艺术作品被联合国教科文组织艺术中心、法国国家自然历史博物馆、意大利当代艺术中心、云南美术馆、中华文化中心等机构收藏。
“周而复始”作为展览名称。喻示整个绘画发展的脉络和事物内在运行的发展规律,世间的物性和心识在时空的维度下物质、能量生命信息生成艺术演变的内在机制与语言规律,如此日月循环、天地运行四时变迁、周面复始。“周面复始”打破传统的线性叙事方式,采用系统性的研究与梳理,注重综合材料绘画语言主题精神的探讨,通过语言的历史性演变。探讨绘画艺术精神品格的文化使命与价值担当,并思考时代精神与文化价值的当代演进“周面复始”是中国综合材料绘画的一次全国性学术交流与推广,既是对我国高等艺术教育领域综合材料绘面学科发展的梳理,也是为综合材料绘语言主体精神在当代中国的发展路径提供文本分析。通过讨论综合材料绘画语言本体的演进规律、精神特性及与当代美学的嬗变关系,提供历史的宏观视野,以此分析这一绘面表达样式对我国社会艺术创作和高等艺术院校教学的长远意义。
此次展览和文献集的呈现,集结了以中央美术学院为首的业内专家们的创作成果,较为全面地体现了国内艺术家们在综合材料绘画上的最新探索与思考表达,既展现了我国高等美术教育多年来在本学科的教研成果,同时也回应了在时代新语境下关于综合材料绘画的发展要求。《周面复始--综合材料绘画学术邀请展》、《周而复始-综合材料绘画学术邀请展文献集》既是高校之间高品质的学术交流活动。也是借助国家艺术基金的力量,结合社会各界精英、以学术为本源,打造传播交流与推广平台建构时代新文化发展体系。探索中国特色架上艺术的自新之路。

Sophia Xinman Wang's works were selected as the National Art Fund promotion project document collection

From mid-2019 to 2021, some of the selected works of " Round & Develop -Mixed Material Painting Academic Invitation Exhibition Collection" have been exhibited at the Art Museum of Jilin University of Art, Shanghai Marley Art Museum, Shanghai Institute of Visual Arts Art Museum, Chongqing Art Museum, Shenzhen University Art Museum, Liaohe Art Museum, Jinan Art Museum, Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts Art Museum and other places, and will be exhibited at the ninth station of this project at CAFA Art Museum from April 9 to April 30, 2021. Sophia Xinman Wang's comprehensive material work "A Hundred Years of Journey" presents the historical context of the 70 years of the party and the people forging ahead through nearly 70 old Chinese newspapers from 1949 to 2019 as the main creative materials, highlighting the glorious journey taken by the Chinese people to create historical greatness and realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
International eco-artist Sophia Xinman Wang has long focused on the theme of biodiversity conservation, and she is good at creating mixed-material paintings and installations using recycled old materials: newspapers, plastic bags, beverage bottles, cans, wire, threads of different materials, cartons, magazines, plastic toys, and daily necessities. Sophia Xinman Wang 's works express the intersection and collision of human beings with time, space, and region. The Biodiversity Conservation series presents a critique of the waste discarded by human overconsumption after animals lose their habitats; The metaphorical reflection on the life processes of the earth's creatures that struggle and afflict is caused by the superposition of human behavior.
Sophia Xinman Wang has a background in design, art, ecological environmental protection art, anthropology, management, obtained a doctorate, a visiting professor at many universities at home and abroad, is passionate about public welfare, and protects the earth's endangered species through art promotion. Xinman is currently responsible for the project leader and executive director of the UNESCO IMAJ Global Art Competition and serves as the deputy director of the Comprehensive Material Art Committee of Yunnan University and Yunnan Artists Association. Combining the exploration and reflection of human destructive behavior, she provokes the public's reflection on nature that has been seriously damaged by human desire and excessive material consumption through art and advocates public participation in the protection of nature and harmonious development.
Sophia Xinman Wang won the American Artist Award from the 25 Museum Alliance in 2017; In 2019, her works were selected as a promotion project of the National Art Fund; In 2020, she received the UNESCO Honorary Award for Protecting the Earth; In 2021, she was appointed as a guide expert for the pilot project of Yunnan low-carbon school funded by the European Union; In 2022, she was on the cover of Chinese magazine in the United States; In 2022, she won the 8th International Marianne Brandt Art Competition Nomination Award. Xinman's artworks have been collected by UNESCO Art Center, French National Museum of Natural History, Italian Center for Contemporary Art, Yunnan Art Museum, China Cultural Center, and other institutions.
